Everyone always asks me what I am reading right now! This blog is an attempt to answer that question.

I Feel Bad About my Neck (well not yet!)

">"

Nora Ephron's little book with the long title caught my eye at the library secondhand sale, I Feel Bad About my Neck and other thoughts on being a woman. She wrote favorite movies, Sleepless in Seattle and When Harry met Sally.

It was a funny, memoir styled book detailing her attempts at "maintenance" in keeping her appearances up. The most moving parts of the book deal with her facing death and the death of her best friend.

What reading the book made me want to do: wear a bikini, enjoy my makeup free days, appreciate my skin and face just as it is, not worry so much about the little jowl lines that are forming beside my mouth (it just gets worse from here), and that I don't quite yet need reading glasses.

Don't forget the sunscreen!

"Reading is everything. Reading makes me feel I 've accomplished something, learned something, become a better person. Reading makes me smarter..."

"Me and JFK: Now it can be told ... it has become horribly clear to me that I am probably the only young woman who ever worked in the Kennedy White House that the president did not make a pass at. Perhaps it was my permament wave, which was a truly horrible mistake ... perhaps nothing happened between us because JFK somehow sensed that discretion was not my middle name ... I assure you that if anything had gone one between the two of us, you would not have to wait this long to find out."
